About Me

Professional Career:

 This is my first year as the Shanel Valley School Caounselor. However  for the last 6 Years I was the Nokomis Elementary School Counselor

       Before joining the wonderful team at Shanel Vally . I worked at a Non-Profit Mental Health/Behavioral Health Agency, for 7 years. I was a Transitional Age Youth (TAY) Housing Manager, Full Service Partnership (FSP) Coordinator, Case Manager, Therapeutic Behavioral Specialist (TBS) Provider, Residential and Community Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist (MHRS), Activities Leader for the Interpersonal Skills Training Center (ISTC), Youth Empowerment Camp Activities Coordinator, Outdoor Education Program Guide for (Treeline) leading youth on backpacking trips on the Pacific Coast Trial and other National Parks, and a Therapist. 

         I have my Bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Recreation Tourism and Leadership from Oregon State University in Bend OR. I received my Masters in Social Work from Chico State University and My Pupil Personnel Services Credential from Humboldt State University.

Personal:

         I have been to 49 states, Mexico, Canada and Australia. I spent a year in Australia guiding middle school students in the outback. I was a bull rider for 15 years (High School, College, CCPRA).
